Will you be teaching the tutorials yourself, or using an “AI clone”?
I'll be teaching all the tutorials. I believe genuine human interaction is essential for building a thriving creative community—something a lot of us are missing as we get older. Honestly, AI scares me a little 😦
Who is this membership for?
This membership is designed for beginners in acrylic painting, as well as anyone who painted in the past and wants to regain their confidence with a brush looking to connect with others in a positive, supportive community.
When can I start painting, and how do I get materials?
You can start right away! After registering, you'll receive an email with your login details within 15 minutes. You'll have immediate access to your first tutorial, tracers, a recommended supply list, and other helpful resources. Paint at your own pace in your own space using supplies you already have or will obtain.
Then, on the 3rd Friday of each month at 6:30pm AST, we'll gather on a live Zoom call (not recorded) to share our work, meet fellow members, and build our community together. I encourage you to join even if you haven't finished that month's painting—three weeks should give everyone enough time to complete each piece.
Does this replace your in-person paint parties?
Not at all. I truly enjoy leading in-person paint parties through Maritime Art and Soul and watching each painting develop. This online membership (Fairlane Art Studio) is an extension that allows me to reach people who may not be able to attend in person but still want to be part of a creative community.
Do I only get one painting tutorial?
No. A new painting tutorial is added on the 1st of each month, so your library will continue to grow.
